The Super Bowl is over now and I hope it comes back to Tampa soon! I enjoyed being a part of the NFL Experience and hope to have a bigger role next time it comes through!
Here’s an article I was proud and excited to be selected for as a featured volunteer

I have a theory - the same bad team they had last year is still pretty much the same roster they have this year…
They needed more than Duban and Suarez added to the roster.
I’ve sat in the boiling hot Gators and Seminoles stadiums at noon. If the team is exciting, it won’t matter where you sit. But if we’re playing an American conference team at noon….. probably catch me in my pool watching the game on tv. I’m hoping it exceeds expectations
I’d like to sit here, and I wonder what the price would be if it wasn’t all inclusive food/bev
I’ve read many posts - mostly complaints - about the price point.
One thing I agree with is that with our current conference opponents, I’m not enthused. I hope to find a seat I like
Ep. 1 of 'This Was SportsCenter: Stories from the Set' is now available across Disney+, the ESPN App & major podcast platforms

I hate that they are asking for a deposit without giving a price point.
I also hate that every club level seat is all inclusive food and beverage. That tells me the equivalent to my current club seat price will sky rocket.
And it’s unnecessary for a tailgating sport.
Bulls Nation, our long awaited home will be here before we know it…
🤘🏻Our new stadium website (https://t.co/7HIieSlMCQ) is now live for a preview of all of the premium offerings in our new home!
🤘🏻We want to make sure every loyal @USFFootball fan has options to attend our home games in the new stadium & will be offering season tickets starting as low as $25 per game. This first phase is for premium experiences, while general seating will be available beginning in the Fall.
🤘🏻Speaking of premium options, we’re excited to share that our 28 luxury suites have already SOLD OUT! The demand around the stadium’s premium offerings has been incredible without even officially being on public sale yet.

All Gas. No Brakes!!!! 🤘🏻😤📈
It’s just convenient to say the Phillies because they are playing each other this weekend.
I don’t take too much stock in tv filler talk, and it’s still May, so not going to be mad they’re 100% incorrect.
"I think the Phillies are a real threat."
Ahead of their NLDS rematch this weekend, @Dempster46 believes Philadelphia is the Dodgers' biggest challenge in the NL 👀
@SieraSantos | @KMillar15
@BackupJdMinks It’s a terrific stadium. But it has its flaws and also it’s near impossible to get a Super Bowl here now as it’s not fancy enough for the A listers that need to be coddled at the event.
@Seahawks' next owners may want a new Lumen Field, which has low ticket rev and is nearing the NFL's replacement age (30). But space is limited, stadiums are $$$ and this time, there's no threat of moving the team to get taxpayers to pay @seattletimes https://t.co/FNHgpNgBsv
This is where being a sitting member of a council or board is not for you, you are not representing best interests when you enter a room with your mind made up, and not fully educated on the topic to be voted on.
I accept opposition, but blindly opposing? Just abstain.
The fate of the Rays staying in Tampa Bay is essentially in the hands of 3 people, one of which is just saying Nay no matter what. That’s bonkers to me. And yeah it’s what our country is built on… but it’s still just wild to me this entire process comes down to them.
City of Tampa votes:
Yes:
Alan Clendenin
Luis Viera
Naya Young
Bill Carlson
No:

The non-binding MOU passes, but woo buddy. There is a lot of work to be done at the city level.
One of the big reasons why I support the Rays new stadium deal is b/c of what professional sports can bring to youth sports and to other non-profit organizations. The Bucs and Lightning are constantly giving back to the community. More of that is a good thing
@jayRecher I listened to him a lot after
I graduated college and had that drive home commute for my first job. Always enjoyed his insight on uncommon things like pitcher arm angles and his knowledge of *all* sports. Hard to find that all around knowledge like that today.
Forgive me for not following the USF Baseball season more (my kid’s baseball league is more of my passion these days)
but..
USF has 30 wins going into this weekend and is dead last in their conference? Wild. I knew they jumped out to a hot start but wow, awful in conference!
Here's the entirety of Garrick Higgo discussing why he didn't agree with the two-shot penalty he received at the PGA Championship.
"Again, I wasn't that late. When I got there -- I was supposed to tee off last in any case, and Shaun (Micheel) -- he hadn't announced Shaun yet. Obviously he was dealing with finding me, so he probably would have announced Shaun on time. I asked them if I bothered them for being late, and I said, I apologize for that. But they said it was fine."
The question seems like it was specifically requested by Golesh to be asked of him, strategically, to try and gain empathy or help refine his image. There is nothing genuine, IMO, in the *delivery* of his response.
Alex Golesh told me the team meeting when he announced he was leaving USF for Auburn was emotional.
This is what happened in that room and why saying goodbye wasn’t easy ⬇️

You never hear a fan say they want this. But I wonder if they found a way for these “play in” games to not be on a Tuesday, maybe it gain some interest
