Our Eco-Justice Team created beautiful ribbon art featuring an earth with a heart in the middle surrounded by the Medicine Wheel. We hope to inspire our community with a spirit of belonging, generosity, independence, and mastery as we take care of Mother Earth and each other.

Yesterday, Grade 1 classes at ESMP welcomed Tracey Garbut from CNIB and his dog, Marion, for I Love To Read. Tracey read to classes and spoke about adaptations that are important for him. He also talked about Guide Dogs and our responsibilities around them. @RETSDschools

ESMP staff spent the first portion of Friday afternoon together discussing and experiencing Math Congress with consultant Lori Brooks. Math Congress helps students (and staff) practice how to explain their mathematical reasoning and how to come to group consensus. @RETSDschools

ESMP staff spent Friday morning together learning more about Dr. Martin Brokenleg’s Circle Of Courage and had the opportunity to explore the Indigenous People’s Atlas of Canada Floor Map as well as a wide variety of Indigenous-created books and resources. @RETSDschools

Students from 7A shared their Climate Zone projects with Ms. Kuran's Gr 5 class. The Gr 7's were excited to share info about the average temperature and precipitation within their chosen climate zone, and how this affects the vegetation and animals within the region.@RETSDschools

Our Grade 1’s have been learning about Zones of Regulation and created these incredible portraits of themselves in the Green Zone. When we are in the Green Zone, we’re calm and ready to listen, work, and learn!
