I'm replaying Xenoblade Chronicles and already getting tired of the “Nintendo is just milking re-releases” crowd.
They clearly haven’t actually played these games on Switch 2.
Xenoblade finally feels like it was always meant to.
The world looks crisp and alive even in handheld, the colours pop, the draw distance is night and day, and those long sessions on the go actually feel good instead of a compromise.
The quality of life changes like smarter inventory, better fast travel and smoother controls don’t change what made the game special.
They just stop it from fighting you every step of the way.
This isn’t milking.
This is what it looks like when a developer actually respects the work they’ve already done and gives it the platform it deserved all along.
And on top of that we’re getting fresh costumes and events for the Nopon Grand Prix?
That’s not “re-releasing”.
That’s continuing to care.
The people complaining the loudest are usually the ones who never gave these games a real chance in the first place.
Meanwhile the rest of us are over here finally able to lose entire weekends to them the way we always wanted to.
What’s the one QoL or visual change that’s made you fall back in love with Xenoblade all over again?
