We are so grateful to be 1 of 4 organizations in Washington participating in Essential First's program for bulk distribution of non-food household & personal essentials.
This holiday season, our #EssentialsFirst Team in Canada partnered with #UtivaHealth to pack and donate several hygiene kits to those in need in their area. Thank you all for the incredible work! 😍

A $25 donation provides one family of 4 with a one-month supply of hygiene essentials. Any contribution — big or small — will make a huge difference in ensuring the dignity and respect that comes with the ability to have clean kitchens, clothing, and bodies is afforded to all.
As families begin to recover, they are in need of significant levels of help, including hygiene kits. We were happy to pack & distribute these vital items that will bring immediate relief to many of our neighbors to the north.
This weekend, we packed essential hygiene kits for 500 families recovering from last week’s devastating floods in Skagit County. Our first batch of kits went out for direct delivery first thing this morning.
Hundreds of households had to evacuate the fast-moving floods in Skagit County over the past 2 weeks; and while the community was able to provide some shelter and food support, hygiene products were difficult to find.
On Tuesday night we had our annual Thanksgiving event w @MCRCSeattle to distribute warm blankets & traditional turkey meals. In total, we handed out over 600 blankets, 700 hygiene kits, 1,000 meals, and donated hundreds of them to various organizations in the Greater Seattle Area
According to a report published by @seattletimes on 1/24/21, almost 2.2 Million people in WA (about 1/3rd of the state) are food insecure. We believe that anyone who is struggling to get food is also struggling to access hygiene supplies.
While the government and other sources provide food benefits, there are no programs that consistently provide affordable personal and household hygiene supplies. Our mission is to fill that gap.
