Forgot to share my recent creative non-fiction publication. It's about the additional effort people with accessibility needs are forced to go through to attend and be included in public events.

I have solved the mystery of where the shrinking bogong moth population has gone.

They are all inside my house!

@RUBL3D3V I read in silence at home but if I am out/on public transport, familiar music is far less distracting than the sound of vehicles, multiple random conversations from strangers, people blasting their own music from their speakers, etc.

there's a beautiful girl named Tinnitus who is always singing her siren song in my ear

Writers block tip: do a little dance. 👍

You can defend piracy you aren’t wrong about accessibility but many arguments are starting to completely remove the labor of the author as unimportant the act of writing not worth compensating that’s BAD. A book isn’t willed into existence to enrich humanity it IS someones labor

Would be so nice if content made in the country I live in could be accessed IN THE COUNTRY I LIVE IN.

having an edgy racist phase as a teenager is NOT NORMAL btw and i hate that people act like it is and brush it off

[femiiiiii. @femiiiszn]

i love when you read a book and you become so emotionally invested in it, and when you walk around public places after reading it you feel like you’re in this bubble by yourself, like you’re so deeply inside your mind you’re actually out of touch with reality.

writing is rewriting is rewriting is rewriting is deleting is reinserting what you deleted four rounds of edits ago is writing is rewriting is having a mental breakdown etc

Nothing proves spanking is child abuse quite like becoming an adult yourself, attempting to contemplate EVER hitting a kid, and feeling a bone-deep horror about it.

Something is seriously wrong with every single person who’s ever raised a hand against a child.

[viviana 🫀 @chipilonita]

being chronically ill and getting asked about what youve been up to is so embarrassing like “oh ive been rly focusing on making sure im eating and sleeping enough”

@smallishotters @chuffedtwobits So real. I love live music and it was so wild the first time I was cheering at a concert after being on T for a while and my voice just... muted.

[mao 🇦🇺 @freemaowtf]

it’s insane how in australia you can get into more trouble for criticising the genocidal state of israel than being racist to aboriginal australians

Indigenous Australians fought and died for this country in two world wars. Even though they were not allowed to vote.

saying that « survival sw » is not the only form of SW is unecessary. thinking that people only « know » about survival sw is very wrong. ppl acc do not get it. white SWs who post their bands and chatting abt how empowering it made them feel dominate the convos actually.
