@caitlinmoran Actually I’m really shocked to hear this is not the norm. Female consultant, asked a nurse to hold my leg (other was resting against wall), lots of local anaesthetic then advised to take supplied paracetamol and sit with a cup of water for 20 mins afterwards before she let me go.
