Today is Mohammed’s funeral; he was murdered by an Israeli drone strike yesterday. This man was nothing but a shining example of humanity, doing his part to support the environment.
I want everyone to see this because the West has dehumanised so much of our identity across the Middle East for centuries. They’ve been made to believe we come from nothing more than desert tents that flap in the wind. We come from culture. We must humanise our region and people.
Just imagine... we live in a world where these two scenes are a mere 45 minutes drive part.
Two people's, occupying one land.
One group being bombed, starved, displaced and mass murdered by the other.
I wondered what Israel meant when it said that it was carrying out this military campaign according to humanitarian principles. Then I heard that it was killing people queueing for humanitarian aid. That's what the humanitarian principles are, then.
Starvation, pollution, rubble, unsanitary tents, mosquitoes, germs, bacteria and continuous Israeli bombing!
Lack of food, medicine and medical treatment!
