Two brothers competing against each other in the CWS. Mom and Dad in the stands.
Kudos to all the pre-production planning and in-game communication that go into capitalizing on a moment like this.
This replay montage is as good as it gets in sports television.
Jordy Frahm left college softball better than she found it.
Her poise, her competitiveness and her love for the people around her is what I’ll always respect the most.
Thank you for helping @HuskerSoftball and @B1Gsoftball reach new heights. ❤️
Parents, I promise you this:
Whatever gossip, drama and opinions you’re living in right now with other parents about your kids, the coaches or the team, it’s so unimportant in the long run and the grand scheme of things.
Change your attitude
Change your outlook
Change your negativity
Because you’ll look back when it’s all over and regret that you didn’t just sit back and enjoy watching them grow up and mature while ⚾️ taught them solid life lessons!

Fernando Mendoza was a 2 star coming out of high school.
He had to beg his way into college football.
He won the national championship.
He won the Heisman trophy.
He is the first pick in the NFL draft.
The coaches that knew him the best growing up were probably telling college coaches he was special but the college coaches were reliant on the rankings to formulate their opinions.
Makeup, work ethic, toughness, maturity and aptitude are monumentally more important than showcase skills.
Special players have special traits from a young age that don't show up in player rankings.
Players
If you're genuinely outworking the competition and sacrificing like a maniac.
Believe in yourself and be relentless like Fernando Mendoza.
Great read from @rustindodd on Dusty May working w/ teaching expert
He has "created a culture that is 1 part Ted Lasso, 1 part HS teacher: always curious, never judgmental
But it also represents a larger idea: the benefits of coaching like a teacher."

Coach Cooley is officially the new head boys basketball coach! A respected, homegrown leader and longtime assistant who now takes the reins of Titan basketball.
The National Institute of Sports Science (NISS) has just concluded that this ball was going to go through the hoop until the collective inward Gasp of Horror (GOH value of 1.0) of 15,000 Nebraska fans pulled it out
