If Republicans want to govern consistently they need to go to the cities as much as they go to the country.

They can’t bank on gangbusters turnout in rural areas. They need to work on changing people’s minds in the cities. Minds can be changed, but not if you don’t even try.

Zohran Mamdani's win is the Republicans' fault too, not only Cuomo's. Why? They have forfeited the cities.

Since the days of Gerald Ford, when he abandoned NYC to its fate, Republicans have allowed the Democrats to hold the cities uncontested.
