It made me so emotional when Cooper asked Murph how she knew that he was going to come back and she said “because my dad promised me.” 😭😭 #neverforget#1B69
I never took into account or realized how much time I spent on technology and how much of my life has technology integrated into it until I read turkle’s article. Amazing how something so small can do such big things. #1B69
When I first watched interstellar, I didn’t think that the sound had such a large effect on the message of the movie. After reading the article, I realized that the overwhelming sound did actually emphasize a lot of the key emotional points. #1B69
Interstellar made me realize how insignificant everything is. Space is so vast and there is so much out there! This movie sparked all sorts of questions. Like, what if OUR world is near the end and some people are out there on a mission to find another liveable world too? #1B69
“I shall collect my funeral pile and consume to ashes this miserable frame... I shall die.” (Frankenstein) it sounds rather depressing and miserable that the monster decides that his fate will be to just die, after all. #1B69
With Elizabeth and Henry’s death, I feel like I should feel some sympathy and pity for Victor, but oddly enough I don’t feel anything because he truly brought these consequences upon himself. #1B69
To be quite honest, I didn’t think that Frankenstein was going to agree to make a female version of the monster and then end up destroying it. How catastrophic. #1B69
Personally, I think it’s rather sad that the monster has to in a way, blackmail Victor to make him some company when it was Victor that abandoned him in the first place and made him the lonely and insecure creature he currently is. #1B69
I can’t even begin to imagine living in a world where there’s only rain and the sun only comes by for a few hours every seven years. I feel deeply saddened that Margot ended up spending her only “summer” in a black, solitary closet.

“..Instead of that serenity of conscience, which allowed me to look back upon the past with self-satisfaction...I was seized by remorse and a sense of guilt...” (Frankenstein, Vol II. 81)
His sense of guilt & remorse almost humanizes him and makes him seem less of a villain #1B69
In the article by Ullrich, I recently learned about the “cli-fi” genre which I had never heard about before. Little did I know that that was actually a fairly common genre amongst the movies that I watch. With growing weather problems, cli-fi is growing as well. #1B69
“Natural philosophy is the genius that has regulated my fate; I desire, therefore, in this narration, to state those facts which led to my predilection for that science” (Frankenstein Ch. 2)
Ties back to how nature and weather can truly affect our mood and writing. #1B69
I can definitely relate to Edward’s initial feeling of being unable to socially engage, as well as fight the exclusivity people impose because you look or are different. #1B69
“...they say that the 1950s and 1960s were a time of unusually severe atmospheric conditions in the U.S, and the music of the time reflects that.”
It’s amazing to think that weather could be so cataclysmic that people would write songs about it. #1B69
“I visited Walker Canyon, Anza Borrego Desert State Park, Joshua Tree National Park, & the Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserce to see tourist after tourist traipsing off trail” -Stuart Palley
I didn’t realize that there were so many landscapes that were being damaged. #1B69
Recently went to Antelope Valley, AZ over winter break. Took pictures of the canyons and posted many of them on social media. I would’ve never thought of these pictures as detrimental to these “highly photographable places.” #1B69
