This newly unearthed artifact from the current excavation season offers a fascinating glimpse into the symbolic world of the Pre-Pottery Neolithic.

At first look, the carving appears to show a reclining or elongated creature stretched horizontally across the stone.

The head and posture suggest a feline or canine form … possibly a big cat, which aligns with the leopard imagery found throughout Karahan Tepe and the wider Taş Tepeler region.

To the left, another figure seems to be in motion… legs bent, body arched, almost as if it’s engaging with or approaching the central animal.

Taken together, the composition evokes:

A predator in an outstretched pose, or perhaps a scene of pursuit or dominance— a theme often seen in early Neolithic visual language.

Despite the weathered surface, the outlines, limbs, and movement are unmistakable, capturing a moment frozen in stone for over eleven millennia.

I'm sure it's comforting for Israel supporters to believe that rapidly increasing opposition to Israel among American conservatives is fake: just some online foreign influence op (just like liberals got comfort from believing Hillary lost due to Russian online influence ops).

Some small problems with that fairy tale: every US poll shows significant decline in Israel support among conservatives, especially young ones; many of the most influential American right-wing media and podcast voices regularly denounce US financing of Israel and Israel itself; every right-wing event now features young American conservatives objecting to US support for Israel to robust audience applause; Charlie Kirk acknowledged that Israel has become radioactive among young American conservatives, etc. etc.

But sure: tell yourselves that it's all fake and inorganic and is nothing more than a few anti-Semitic Twitter accounts from Indonesia and Saudi Arabia creating this mirage.
