No strategy will work 100% of the time with 100% of kids.
There is no silver bullet or magic wand.
Be patient and keep trying new things.

“What motivates students in the classroom and why. If we can nail down those factors–those characteristics that drive student motivation–we can, at worst, be more attentive to them as we design assessments, lessons, units, and even learning models.” https://t.co/tLMHQQNtJl
While we are all concerned about the coronavirus, I want to remind everyone that EVERY SINGLE DAY elementary school teachers come into direct contact with mystery fluids and every germ known to man. They are fearless 🍎😷🤒🤮❤️
"What I saw in my feed shook me to my core. A student had written: “I'm an extremely bad and lazy student.” When we label kids, they may begin to believe it. We'll never punish or shame a kid into being a better student or person." --@WeinsteinEdu https://t.co/CKZEEeemyc
What an awesome welcome to the South Salem Team! I am truly honored to be your Principal! Thank you for the welcome basket full of goodies! 😍 the awesome staff! @SSE_NEWTON#ncssbethebest#ssetheplacetobe
Everyone should read this blog post! Labels are not okay. They're kids!!! I'd rather be known as the person who ripped those labels off for kids rather than putting them on! Thank you @BehaviorFlip and @WeinsteinEdu for this post.

Teacher energy levels, efficiency, & time are finite.
Every time they are asked to do something new, it takes away from what they are already doing.
We simply can't keep adding more. New things must replace old things or make them more efficient.

Why do we always reward students who learn the fastest? I have been thinking about this a lot lately. They all come in at different places with different strengths and needs - it almost seems ridiculous when you realky think about it. What do you think??
Great chart! Thanks for sharing. I would remind educators that using the word 'families' rather than 'parents' is a more accurate word to describe those who care for our students. #SatChat
