I was also very happy 2B chairing the session that ended with a paper by @JoshuaSchaeuble, a PhD student I’m co-supervising, where he presented ManuscriptWeb, an @existdb application he is developing for capturing relations between different types of genetic documents #ESTS2019

In his talk, @jorisvanzundert notes how textual scholars and programmers have trouble communicating.

This is an important point: scholars from humanities or computer science conversant with both sides are very rare fowl!

And now moving on to @jorisvanzundert on a 21C Hermeneutics of Textual Scholarship. He starts w/explaining how the correlation of his conclusion of the PhD with the CFP for #ESTS2019 may have had a hand in producing an overly confident paper title.

Different editions of “Mrs. Dalloway” with different annotations, some of them supplying quite irrelevant facts. The editor as curator of annotations outshines Google (well, ideally). Great talk by ⁦⁦@wvmierlo⁩ at #ests2019
