Some personal thoughts on the 30th anniversary of #TheXFiles + a big archival effort of the past 12 years of social media posts in the site, for posterity. This is the first actual site update in 5 years! (hi, #PhileFest!)

Do you want to celebrate Halloween by watching The X-Files, but don’t know where to start?
Here’s a thread that groups episodes together based on different horror genres 🎃👻👽🤡🔪🩸
Carter's script from My Struggle IV reads like an ALL CAPS screaming ASSAULT on your SENSES. As Clyde Bruckman would say, "visions of a mad man". #TheXFiles
Another post on another platform where I note some more stuff from this juicy Chris Carter interview (this time with a more positive predisposition!) https://t.co/Tmibl7v6JD
NEW EPISODE (AND IT'S A BIG ONE)! Annie & Jenn sit down for an exclusive interview with the one and only Chris Carter. We get into Mulder & Scully’s (non-platonic) relationship, how the mythology was crafted, and that final episode. #TheXFiles#podcast https://t.co/END1F785EC
A lot to unpack in this interview! The discussion about William continues here: https://t.co/nwLJ1Q4wW9 (twitter and social media in general are not great for in-depth discussion)

@XFDPodcast @Sullivan_lp I appreciate CC's effort to draw interest in what he will be remembered for, I still love what he created, and I really thank you for conducting a passionate interview! But when I hear him tease that there are still mysteries to be explored with that new pregnancy I roll my eyes.
@XFDPodcast @Sullivan_lp For most the story was too convoluted already. Many rejected it outright, some accepted CSM as the father, and then there are those few who think he would have re-reversed it in season 12. Instead of a coda to the original, CC saw the revival as a shaggy dog story opportunity.
@XFDPodcast @DemijanOmeragic@kyouryokusenshi@rainknight @Sullivan_lp JW's "Ghouli" respected the fact that he was given up for adoption. All of CC's scripts since William was given for adoption tease him as someone important, making the fans wait for his return. No wonder then that S's sudden change of heart at the end of MS4 seems out of place.
@CatherineGlins2 @XFDPodcast @Sullivan_lp OK, so you are saying that W has a vision and has only that information, no context, like a self-fulfilling prophecy. I was supposing a 'psychic' connection to his father in the same way he has a connection to his mother, that he would know who M and CSM were within the vision.
@XFDPodcast @Sullivan_lp I could also say "not at all, you're reaching". It sounds to me you want to justify Carter here. When the writer makes it so obtuse that he has to explain himself ex-post, that's not being mysterious that's just not good writing.
@CatherineGlins2 @XFDPodcast @Sullivan_lp So he says "my father" because he "inhabits" Mulder at the time of his vision? That is *so* far-fetched in being misleading. I did a lot of theories to cover the writers' gaps, intentional or unintentional, but that's quite a stretch.
