Lawyer Thought: Section 219 and the related sections of the NDAA literary have the capacity to mandate treason under the law.

At this moment Israel is officially considered an ally. That’s now.

If Israel should ever become an enemy this law would mandate giving comfort and aid to an enemy… the constitutional definition of treason.

It would also restrict the President’s capacity to lead in foreign policy substantially.

Further, the Constitution explicitly grants certain authorities to OUR federal officials. It seems a stretch to think our founding fathers would be okay delegating military authority to a foreign power… any foreign power.

The Israel/US military merger appears to be wildly unconstitutional. It is one of the most visible demonstrations yet that our government serves only special interests and not the American people.

My thoughts:

EA is being taken private by a Saudi-led investor group that includes private equity firms. The lead Saudi backer, PIF, is not technically private equity...it is Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund.

EA is not being bought because investors suddenly care about Dynasty Mode, franchise depth, or better offline features. It is being bought because EA has a huge, proven machine for recurring digital revenue: Ultimate Team, live services, extra content, mobile, subscriptions, cosmetics, battle-pass-style systems, etc.

The EA deal doesn’t create the microtransaction problem but it appears to have locked it in.

EA’s value is heavily tied to its live-service machine: Ultimate Team, mobile, extra content, and repeat spending.

When billions in debt are attached to a take-private deal, the pressure is to double down on what already prints money.

And for years, players complained that EA cared more about pack modes than Franchise, Dynasty, or career modes. But now the concern is different: EA realizes those offline modes can be monetized as well.

That’s why College Football 27 is such a flashpoint.

Dynasty and Road to Glory are not just missing features or balance tweaks. Players feel like EA took modes that were supposed to be safe from microtransactions and turned progression itself into a storefront.

They’re also using creators to push their messaging without making a statement themselves or addressing anything

“the core coach level progression is unchanged from CFB 26” true, but normal is way too slow, and you REMOVED 2 faster settings

They acknowledge “Fast/Faster Coach Progression was removed from Dynasty,” 0 update on a plan to bring it back

ZERO mention of removing XP sliders from Road to Glory either

“continuing to monitor community feedback” basically meaning we don’t wanna make a change because we think it’ll blow over lmao
