The last ticket available at the @StJohnsSmithSq box office for our concert on 16 April has just gone. As for last year's #SJSSHolyWeek concert we have "sold out" a week before. This year that is 548 tickets gone. There might be returns during the course of the week, so do try

Today was the funeral of Peter Diggens, one of our basses. Despite deteriorating health he attended a few rehearsals last autumn, though his last concert was the Mozart Mass in C minor in April last year. He joined one of our predecessor civil service choirs in 1969. RIP Peter.

This week we sang four suffragette songs, including March of the Women by Ethel Smyth, at a centenary event. It was our 80th performance since forming. Our 81st will be a Corpus Christi service at 6.30pm on 31 May with the premiere of a mass setting by one of our tenors.

The charity collection after our concert in @StJohnsSmithSq on Tuesday raised £2,262 including gift aid, which will be donated to @CardinalHumeCHC and @FundLifeboat. This brings the total raised for charity by our concerts to over £30,000. #SJSSHolyWeek
