@commonsense578@TheFestiveOwl Still providing a platform for people to resell tickets at exorbitant prices while profiting off of the fans they claim to “service” and help. Sure, it’s not illegal, but it is scummy asf either way and makes them culpable in the fact that prices are so high
@TheFestiveOwl Buying up all the tickets and creating insane demand for a product that should be cheap and available to many… scalpers fashion little cartels for every big show and then circle jerk how much money they scammed from real fans
@TheFestiveOwl “ItS BAsIc SuPplY aNd DEmANd” nope it’s predatory business practices and you can’t call yourself a fan/friend of music if you partake in it
@commonsense578@TheFestiveOwl Also, how would one person buy that many tickets in the first place? The limit was 4 per buyer. You’re telling me he got lucky with 25 tabs open to get all those tickets? Go touch grass
@commonsense578@TheFestiveOwl lmao you are kidding me right? Why else would one company buy up 100+ tickets if not to resell them. They are already listed on his website. “Distribution service for the secondary market” is basically saying scalpers with more words
@commonsense578@TheFestiveOwl Well, for one thing I can see one person has bought close to around 100 tickets on there. When you look at his website he is selling for about 4x the price of the original ticket. It’s clear he used bots to obtain them
@JohnRog71486140 @KatarinaBarrett Piss off. We could afford the show just fine before 17 scalper bots went and bought up all the tickets. Ones who aren’t even going to the show in the first place. 500%+ above face isn’t free market, it’s predatory
@TheFestiveOwl@axs@Ticketmaster Like do we REALLY need them to promote these shows when we have social media now? Especially for skrillex or pretty lights? Nahhhhhhh
@TheFestiveOwl@axs if artists start working with local promoters, we wouldn’t have this big of an issue. the artists are the ones who need to boycott trash corporations like @axs and @Ticketmaster
lol why does my place in the queue just get rejected or “oh no! Something went wrong on our end!” Every single time. Doesn’t matter how early I got in or what. @axs your systems are trash
why don’t we just use local promoters at this point? why are we still buying into these corporations time and time again when there are plenty of equally talented/reputable LOCAL PROMOTERS who can do it the same if not better.
