@synthfix hiya, I’m in a band, but am tech dumb. I have a Rockville rpm85 PA, and want to purchase the critter and guitari rhythmscope for live shows. How would you set that up with that, and also, is there an inexpensive projector/screen that would be compatible with the scope
@PhonesWithChrds It depends what vibe they mean, I suppose. For instance, I’ve been told my voice has”panic at the disco” vibes. I’m not really a fan of their’s, like at all, but I can tell the person telling me that is - so I try to still be happy as they meant it as a compliment.
@allthingsweezer hi y’all. I play in a band, and I’m trying to teach them “Only in Dreams”. I usually play and learn by ear, but there’s a lot of moving parts. I was wondering if there was a tutorial video for all the guitar parts for the outro/solo, or a tab for those parts.
@PhonesWithChrds It’s one of the few things that truly gives me a sense of meaning and confidence, and it seems to genuinely bring other people happiness.
Scratch my last post, apparently it was Keith Habersberger that was the guy that I thought was an asshole on worth it, not Ned Fulmer. But you know what? I watched one episode of Try Guys - and found them all kind of obnoxious - like they seem like people I would try to avoid.
So, I never watched The Try Guys, but I recognized Ned Fulmer from Worth It - I think he was on like two episodes - and just got the sense he was a real grumpy fuck. I don’t if that’s like a schtick or something he has on Try Guys, but he came off as kind of an asshole.
Gig at @bushwallers tonight with the band - 10 pm to 130 am - bunch of original stuff - but also some bangers like bohemian rhapsody and blinded by the light. Come out y’all!
I was told recently by a friend that when recording”Losing My Religion”, REM Frontman Michael Stipe was arguing with the engineer, and in retaliation, ate mushrooms, stripped naked, and then recorded the vocal take that’s on the record. I don’t know if that’s true, but I hope it is
Hey, #musictheory buffs, what’s an easy way to understand modes. I understand the Nashville number system really well - is there a way to explain it with that kind of thinking?
Thoughts - I posted this on my Instagram previously, but have yet to talk about it on here. If your toilet was sentient, like had a consciousness and could talk, would you rather it…
