Salinas High School physical education teacher Stefanie Zenk is an MVP on and off campus! 

She was honored as recipient of the 2025 NFL Play 60 Fitness Gram MVP Award. This tremendous honor was bestowed upon Mrs. Zenk by the Kenneth H. Cooper Institute at Texas Tech University’s Health Sciences Center and the NFL Foundation. 

Mrs. Zeno was also honored by the @49ersFoundation Market Project Champion.

The FitnessGram Project measures development outcomes from youth who participate in the NFL Play 60 program, which encourages children to play 60 minutes a day. Mrs. Zenk lead the initiative to include her department’s students in the project. 

A true MVP, Mrs. Zenk made sure to acknowledge her staff colleagues for their support in her acceptance statement. 

“Our district Physical Education teachers did a great job testing our students,” she said, “as well as working with students to allow them to see success between testing windows.” 

From the Award recognition:
