With many of Bradley’s fall sports either having just started or about to get underway, I asked one question that each team will need to answer this season on @ScoutSportsDesk

First inning back in affiliate action for Justin Steele:
Averaged 89.4 MPH on 4S
Threw 6 Sliders, 5 Four Seamers and 5 Sinkers
Got a strikeout and allowed a hit but no runs, just one whiff
The Cubs have a group of relievers with great stuff but the results and execution haven’t been there (looking specifically at Palencia/Zeferjahn). They need these guys to get right ASAP for October as well as getting Steele back as lefty options currently are bleak.
I can’t believe Liverpool are going to go this window without signing a DM or right back, especially given how much those two holes showed in the first two matches
Shota’s velo was up in the first few innings and he was going fine, but as soon as it dipped he started giving up homers
Just moving away from the playoff trust factor game by game
PCA was in these MVP convos a month plus ago with Ohtani and since then Ohtani hasn’t pitched, all PCA has done since then is widen the gap
It shouldn’t even be a debate who’s the frontrunner right now
Some thoughts after that game:
- Szobo/Araujo need to start at RB next week
- Wirtz looks much better
- Gakpo should stay at least this window and be the main option on the right wing
- DM by windows end is a priority
- Outplayed in 1H but ref screwed us in 2H
The Barcola signing is excellent for Liverpool given the style Iraola is trying to play and we can see it with the other wingers they’ve been targeting
Some fun opponents on Bradley’s non-conference schedule this year, should be a good opportunity got this revamped squad to grow ahead of conference play
🚨💣 BREAKING: Liverpool reach verbal agreement to sign Bradley Barcola, HERE WE GO! 🔴
