Konga.. It was only with Hoysala (another kannada kingdom) Cholas were able to fight back and able to get part of chalukya areas.

Check history of kannada kingdoms from 3AD to 12AD.. the Rastrakutas ruled from south Kaveri till UP in its peak… konga kothi nan magane.

If you are talking about reclaiming lost areas, Vijayanagara kingdom (Kannadigas) ruled entire south india in 14th-15th century
