The “don’t panic” crowd is 0 for 2 the last two seasons and sounding off again with nearly half the players on this roster 24-25 holdovers.
Fans are pissed off because they keep getting told everything is fine when it’s clearly not.
In 2023, you would have had to be a complete idiot to not be optimistic. The Rangers went 40-20 over their first 60 games and had half the lineup starting the ASG. Texas was 28-17 that year after its first 45.
The only way optimism pays dividends in 2026 is with an absurdly fortunate, top-tier deadline move for a bat — a path that carries great risk and absolutely no one could predict at this point.
Passionate fan bases hate losing. The discourse right now is good for the team long-term and keeps the Rangers relevant. If you no longer see fans upset with a (currently) losing product on the field, we have an issue.
Who needs actual offensive production when your front office and management can just describe to you how talented the lineup is for three straight years
