@domluszczyszyn@jtbourne Maybe they try to spread the talent out a bit more rather than go with a hard split the between the top and bottom 6. A third line that can score would be ideal at least. I don’t care if the 4th line doesn’t score much. Could Knies pair with Paul on the 3rd and score a bit?
@JeffVeillette I don’t like the moves either but to be fair the Leafs haven’t had many successful seasons at all in the last 15 years so it’s a pretty easy W to always say it’s gonna be bad.
@scottie2hotti4@JFreshHockey I don’t think the leafs make this trade if they aren’t planning on playing him. He’s kinda the centrepiece of it from their end and Andrae is at a point in his career where he NEEDS to play or else there’s no point picking him up
@AdamWylde You were on team “carry 3 goalies”? Feel like it’s easy to break camp that way but if you have to commit to it, it might be kind of annoying down the road.
@KPapetti the release looked .. familiar. feel like I haven’t seen that drag + shoot from him in a minute. most encouraging thing to come from that game
@Nealerrr I don’t really get why people are so willing to work everything around Berube like he’s some special coach. Guy has one good half season on his resume and is otherwise mediocre. I’d dump him in an instant for somebody better suited to the roster.
@JohnnyGiunta_ This is territory that we have not charted since 2019 shortly before Babcock got canned. Just legitimate irredeemable bad hockey. Every position, every phase of the game.
@JFreshHockey tbh I think this team would benefit from another defenceman who profiles similarly to Rielly (i.e. is capable of moving a puck) but wouldn’t want to pay the trade premium that would be required to get a guy so one dimensional.
@WatchMyReview Would have kept at least one. Having two first round pick D men under 25 and trading them both feels crazy. Leafs current fully healthy D group has 2 guys I’d swap out for either of them in a heartbeat.
