it’s really hard to be positive when things start falling out of place.
but that’s life. and it’s something i’m trying to be better at.
i often find myself sulking to sad music, and keep trapping my mind to the positive moments that happened in the past when life starts to get rough. But never pay attention to those moments when i’m actually living it in real time.
because of that, i start to lose optimism in my future which keeps my mind contained to the possibilities of new experiences, new relationships, and new developmental moments.
why do we feel this way? am i too comfortable?
comparison is the thief of joy.
A lot of days i catch myself comparing my journey with people i see on social media, and wonder why i’m not doing enough.
i endlessly scroll looking at other people’s lifestyles and eventually get demotivated and lose all confidence in who i am and what i’ve been through.
it sends me into spirals of discouraging thoughts. and i forget all the things I’ve accomplished in life so far. the little things that make me who i am. and i hate that i think this way.
i’ve worked so hard on trying to achieve the lifestyle that my younger self once believed in. and poof. i see a guy whipping a 250k car at 20 years old with my dream watch on his wrist.
i overthink again, and think insanely poor of myself in my head, which then puts me in a low vibrational state of confidence and willingness to do anything because i’ve already failed from viewing a picture on my phone for maybe 5 seconds. so what’s the point of anything?
this happens multiple times through a 10 minute doom-scroll, and it reminds me why i deleted social media to begin with.
whenever someone i find attractive doesn’t follow me back, whenever i get left on read, whenever i see a picture of my own friends traveling, it all connects to the overarching idea that i’m just not good enough.
so i log off.
and it has been the most freeing week of my life. not comparing myself to anyone. just living in the present and focusing on what i need to do for the day. minding my OWN business.
I don’t really know where i’m going with this nor do I think anyone is going to read this ever. but it was nice to reflect this feeling that has eaten me alive since high school. the distraction that social media (mainly instagram) has put on my life. the comparison that drained every ounce of joy that i once had as a kid.
im 24 and im starting over.
used to easily make 10k a month. but God humbled me.
lost everything AND some. and now im rebuilding the foundation i never had. he crumbled me to pieces because he knew i wasn’t built on anything stable to begin with.
i have faith i’ll surpass my old self and come back even stronger. and i pray for nothing but patience.
if u ever feel lost or confused in life, pursue yourself.
the best thing you can do is show up for yourself. then everything will eventually fall into place.
clean ur mind. work on ur body. find god.
i launched my very first product 1 week ago after learning everything from COMPLETE scratch a week prior. these are the results.
obviously not the most mouthwatering graph to look at. but i’m proud that i took the first step and ultimately failed (unprofitable). i learned a lot from this process, and i can definitely see how this can get addicting. not primarily in pursuit of money, but the idea of competing as an entrepreneur.
this is genuinely fun. and i can’t wait to launch my next product #ecom #q4
