Elisee Junior St Preux’s directorial debut THE TROPIC SUN AND HIS EYES will World Premiere in the International Narrative Competition at the 2026 Tribeca Festival — marking the first Haiti-shot film to premiere at the festival.

Set in the streets of Cap-Haïtien, the film follows a young man returning home to reconnect with his father, accompanied by a child who slowly reshapes his understanding of family. Blending themes of mental health and trauma with an intimate portrait of Haiti.
