Protección Civil de Baja California informa que, de acuerdo a información de la Oficina Nacional de Administración Oceánica y Atmosférica (NOAA, por sus siglas en inglés), es probable que durante la noche de este viernes 10 y madrugada del sábado 11 de mayo se observe una aurora boreal en Baja California.

Este fenómeno lumínico natural pocas veces visible en la región, no será tan intenso,
no representa ningún peligro y se podría percibir en el horizonte hacia el Norte, en lugares de poca contaminación lumínica.

En algunos casos podría generar interferencias leves y temporales en sistemas de telecomunicaciones.
