My father-in-law is a CIA agent. He is insanely gifted. We were in a banana republic together years ago and I asked him what it would cost to coup it today. I will never forget his answer…
“We can’t, we don’t know how to do it.”
@hazelinthepriv i dont know why we continue to pathologize the pain we do to one another as if we're not a discriminated minority group, as if this specific way that we became discriminated makes us uniquely hard hearted and cruel, when we're far from the first
@hazelinthepriv i can think of a few reasons why this happens--1) a lot of women assume anothers desires just because she also trans, and transposes other people shes had experience (or her own wants) with new women.
@hazelinthepriv i think this is related to 2) a demeaning of a womans own boundaries, a kind of "who cares we're all miserable and violated all the time, i dont care anymore, why does it matter for me to hold myself to a standard"
@ofhiddenthings super reccommend it!! aside from the history of the progression from defense contractors to big tech, it goes into the radical communist cells active in the bay area b/w the 60s-70s that id never heard of before
