The @KeTreasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi is a consummate professional and a passionate individual who, over the years, has shown his capability in handling and dealing with difficult tasks.
Seeing the terrible things happening in, I keep asking myself, “Would I be able to save myself and the people I care about most if I ever faced a similar situation?”
Tbh, there’s very little I could do. It’s heartbreaking. My thoughts are with the people of Sudan.
African governments and the politicians in charge need to understand that sports in Africa doesn’t need last-minute rewards or flashy handouts during tournaments like AFCON or CHAN. What it truly needs is consistent funding, proper structures, and serious administrative support. Promising millions to a NT if they win a match isn’t development, it’s just PR.

For most of us, corruption only seems wrong when we’re not the ones gaining from it. But when we benefit, it suddenly feels right and we won’t speak out against it.
Kudos to Ghana’s President for firmly condemning xenophobia and assuring Nigerians & other foreign nationals of their safety. Standing for unity, peace & dignity across borders is the definition of true Pan-Africanism. Africa must remain a home for all Africans.
I personally believe Tanzania’s recent business ban is a step backwards in achieving the African dream of a free trade area and a borderless African union with one currency. Although Tanzania may argue it’s protecting local livelihoods of it’s citizens which is ok as there’s merit in nurturing homegrown entrepreneurship. But at what cost to regional integration? This move doesn’t strengthen EAC, it caricatures it!
George Orwell’s Animal Farm mirrors the political reality in Africa today. The idea that “some animals are more equal than others” is a good reflection at how our politicians preach equality but live in luxury while citizens suffer.
Let’s stop calling politicians leaders. Just being a politician doesn’t mean you’re a leader; leadership is a quality. You either have it or you don’t.
It's unfortunate that South Africans still unfairly blame and fight other Africans who are just trying to make a living, instead of asking why there's still so much inequality 30 years after apartheid. I don't usually like using Europe as a benchmark, but just look at how Europeans treat each other.
A good example of when politically connected families benefit from opaque tax exemptions and revenue-heavy infrastructure contracts. This is just a tip of the iceberg; the corruption in government is unimaginable.
We live in a time where justice seems to wear different faces; in Kenya, stealing a phone or chicken can land one in jail or even cost them their life, while those who steal public money live free, with some even celebrated and elected/re-elected to top government positions. The law often feels heavy on the poor and light on the powerful.
Without any doubt, Kenya is at its all-time lowest when it comes to ethics & integrity within the political class. They’re no longer ashamed or afraid to say or do anything unethical; they simply don’t care anymore. It’s impunity on full display.
Today, the Treasury CS confidently tells the press and general public that the government can no longer support free education, and even explains why. The very next day, the President contradicts him, assuring Kenyans that free education would still be funded. Just a few hours later, the same CS backtracks from his earlier statement, claiming he was misunderstood. Honestly, what’s wrong with this administration?
@Dr_Kingori Let Gaitho be. Come, join us early tomorrow morning just before dawn at Uhuru Gardens to witness the president launch the sun. Entrance will be absolutely FREE!
Or maybe, SHA doesn’t even have funds at all. And if it does or did, they were redirected elsewhere to meet a completely different purpose. So now, there might be people deliberately tampering with the systems to delay or block payments, only for them to later claim that the problem lies with the system itself, not the fund. We're cooked!
