We have launched the Rural Corridors Initiative to uplift the livelihoods of farming communities, which make up the largest segment of our population. While we focus on transforming urban centres through corridor development, this initiative ensures that rural communities also evolve, turning their villages into self-sustaining, sustainable, and community-centred hubs.

“In a crisis-prone world with a growing population, ensuring food security demands innovative solutions.
We must adopt sustainable practices, advance modern farming, expand access to essential agricultural inputs, and address climate change to enhance productivity.
However, ending world hunger is about more than just increasing food production; it requires us to tackle systemic issues such as poverty, inequality, and climate resilience in a holistic manner.”
I welcome all participants of the World Without Hunger Conference to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia - Africa’s diplomatic hub and capital.
By uniting global leaders, experts, and advocates to discuss innovative solutions and partnerships, I am hopeful that our collective efforts to eradicate hunger and ensure food security for all will bear fruit.
In Ethiopia, our focus on agricultural transformation and productivity over the past six years has allowed us to double our cultivated land, with promising outcomes from our emphasis on high-value industrial crops.
I trust that over the coming days, the conference discussions will lead to landmark decisions that help accelerate progress toward our shared goals.
"We need peace more than anyone; we know the harsh realities of war and want no part in it. The outcomes of peace far surpass those of conflict, and our government has prioritised peaceful conflict resolution. Our stance is clear: disputes should be settled through dialogue."
Thank you Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and the government and people of Malaysia for the warmth and love you have shown us during our stay.
We have agreed to deepen our collaboration across several key areas, including in trade and investment, with particular focus on agriculture, mining, manufacturing, and renewable energy.
I encourage Malaysian businesses to seize vast investments opportunities in Ethiopia’s rapidly expanding economy.
My appreciation to President Vladimir Putin for our in-depth discussions during our bilateral meeting. Anchored in our historic ties, the bilateral relations between our two countries continues to grow. In addition, our common BRICS platform allows us to engage for broader economic cooperation.
