Anybody wrongly convicted at any time should not be required to pay for board and lodging whilst in prison.
That should be a timeless principle of natural justice and I would urge the Government to adopt it.

This is an important observation and prompts me to promote the work of Future Frontiers @FFaspirations for whom I volunteer as a ‘sector role model’
If you do an interesting job and can share your insights with an aspiring school child in a 20 minute online chat, I’d recommend it
Thanks so much, Zoe. Likewise.
Sterling job on your presentation, despite the technology, and fab to meet you 😊 Keep in touch. I’d be very interested in chatting further about experts. I think the court may view you as an expert witness even if you do not.
And in the other room, we have Sue Carney-Gannon @EthosForensics on what is required of expert reports for admissibility and how assessments of admissibility of expert findings are made #FFLMConf24
Honoured to be the Chair of CATE-Net and produce this blog with the inspirational Professor Angela O'Sullivan (ANTF Chair). We are so looking forward to #ANTF2024!

@michaelpforan Dreadful and cringe-worthy. Why invite a witness then constantly interrupt them? She seems so angry too, as if this witness is on trial.
So best of luck in the 2023 Wales Legal Awards, and congratulations to a lovely team, with whom I very much enjoy working.
You are already winners as far as I’m concerned 🥳🥳🥳
#womeninscience 👩🔬👩🔬👩🔬 love this story about Mildred Trotter (1899-1991) pioneer in Forensic Anthropology 🦴 amazing achievements, especially in those times - poster courtesy of Dr Wera Schmerer @wlv_uni@WLVsci_eng
In this months @CharterForSci L&T blog, @FCarlysle looks back at the excellent L&T strand at the annual @CharterForSci conference: https://t.co/b0kngEeZ5p. Some really interesting thoughts and insights.
In November 1973, geneticist Stanley Cohen and colleagues reported that they had built a plasmid, a ring of DNA, that carried a gene from another organism into an E. coli cell — the birth of genetic engineering.

We’ll done @CharterForSci! It’s been an excellent #csfsconf2023 with some interesting perspectives. I am of a mind that #ForensicScience is not in a “death spiral”, but consider points raised today a call to action.
Have a great weekend everyone 😀
