I feel like asking for consent has the potential to sound sexy when you ask For it. But I also believe that men have a hard time being told no for anything. Why fear being told no? Wouldn't you rather do the right thing?

@trubirdfacts On a romantic level, we are supposed to just assume that our lovers anticipate our needs. As if that is romantic. But in a hook up culture? I believe it could be more romantic to be sensitive to the other person's needs before your own.

@trubirdfacts I think that asking before doing something when touching anyone of any age is 100% necessary. Even as a daycare provider, we are required to notify the child that we are about to change their diaper. Before touching someone, why not ask?

I am in agreement with @trubirdfacts that the media treats talking about sex or asking for consent as not sexy. But why shouldn't it be? Consent is mandatory. Shouldn't people be able to discuss before things get physical?
