My biggest mistake as a medical school applicant was searching, "Best universities in Nigeria to study Medicine."
I got so fixated on the "best" school that I lost years trying to get in and will still lose more years getting out because of slower academic calendars.
Dear med school applicant in Nigeria,
It's the same MBBS that is given in Federal, State and Private higher institutes of learning.
If you can afford it, go for a state or private school. Spending 7 years trying because you want to get into the greatest gbo gbo is not worth it.
I just realised that I used 83Gb last month. Today is 6th, and I've exhausted 21Gb already.
The funny thing is I rarely use IG or snap, and I don't even use Tik Tok.
I need a job because this thing isn't sustainable 😤
Every time a low-IQ post goes viral, we can make a counter-post that educates, informs, or encourages critical thinking. It may seem small, but consistently promoting thoughtful content is one way to edify society and gradually shift what gets rewarded online.
#olodouprising
I don't think there's an 'Olodo Uprising.' The olodos have already risen, we collectively elevated them. For years, we've been incentivising low-quality content with our attention, likes, reposts, and money. The algorithms simply reflected our preferences.
This isn’t an uprising, as many believe. The rise happened long ago. The olodos have always been among us, and they make up a significant portion of society.
The least we can do is contribute to changing the culture.
