If Penix STILL doesn’t want to suit up this week just put him on season ending IR. There’s more than enough there to see that he’s not going to be your quarterback of the future at this point if he can’t show up when the team needs him most, despite being cleared.

Michael Penix Jr. said he feels like he has a little ways to go. Said specifically that he wants to be stronger to feel like he can “give 100% to the team.”

Penix said that he talked to Stefanski about how he’s not where he wants to be. Added, though, he feels “really close.”
