My updated thesis on $DOOM:

$DOOM is only a few days old. It hit ~$8M ATH almost immediately, then cooled hard like every early Solana memecoin does. That’s not the story.

The difference is still Sandy Petersen. He’s not a name stamped on a chart. He’s in the trenches every day: buying on the open market, shipping real game updates (anti-bot fixes, server upgrades, verification systems, lifted bans), routing rewards on-chain to actual players, bringing his son in as a mod, hosting Spaces, and telling the community he’s still building at 71.

There’s already a live free play-to-earn Doom browser game with hundreds of rounds completed and thousands of SOL payouts verifiable on-chain. The product is improving in public while most tokens are still just logos and roadmaps.

The first wave of pure hype has come and gone. What hasn’t been fully priced in is a legendary game designer treating this like an actual project instead of a temporary endorsement. The market saw the launch. It’s still early for the part where consistent building compounds.

I am still here with you to building this community and $Doom! You have to understand I am pushing 71 and not used to the frantic and exciting pace of these communities. I am doing my best so grant me some grace.

In other news, our token community is growing strong.

We have had over 500 rounds played, 1978 players paid out which is all verifiable on-chain via the website which lists the TXs of the payouts. Rewards are being rerouted to pay players of the game.

We have made some updates to the game: fixed the bot cheating, all bans now lifted, new verification to get paid out on the leaderboard, and the server is upgraded for even smoother gaming experience.

I'm working with the team for other updates on the game as well and will have announcements later today about that!

My son @existoid is now a moderator and will help me to communicate with the community. All communications from him in this community please consider are blessed by, and in a sense are an extension of me.

$Doom is one of the fastest growing tokens and communities in the gaming meta. I'm looking forward to continuing to push this and this community. Please be patient and $Doom army unite and hold strong together.
