🔥Regardless of what data the SFRS come with…this is the harsh reality of appliances being removed from communities 👇👇 if a station has two pumps today and one pump tomorrow that’s a reduction in service that puts our communities and members at risk 🔥 @fbunational
@STVNews No mention of the appliances being removed from Glasgow and Lanarkshire? 3 pumps from Glasgow, 1 dedicated boat crew for the Clyde and another pump from Lanarkshire
In this heatwave, we've seen:
15 fire services declare major incidents
Firefighters & control staff recalled due to staff shortages
Firefighters injured & hospitalised
This wasn't unprecedented. This is the impact of cuts & a government that won't take climate change seriously.
11,500 firefighters cut since 2010 + extreme weather conditions = a recipe for disaster. It's simple maths.
The government aren't listening. They need to fund our fire service. And pay our firefighters more.
Any signatures on this petition would be much appreciated. This is something as a club we feel very strongly about. Thank you for any support 🤞

110 floors climbed in memory of the 343 firefighters who made the climb and to everyone else who lost their lives during the 9/11 attacks 19 years ago.
Surrey Fire and Rescue Service serves one million people spread over 1,663 sq km.
Six fire engines weren't available yesterday due to staffing shortages and just two on-call fire engines were available for the whole county.
That is not safe.
