@allisonjade I hope that made some sense, lol. CanadaPost does have Regular Parcel (3-5 day) rates for 0.5 kg regionally at $10.91, but the smallest “US small packet” tier is as low as $9 because it’s limited to 0.1 kg and takes 4-6 days.
@allisonjade It’s part of the Xpresspost ‘benefit’, which makes it relatively cheap to send stuff fast to people across Canada, but for simplicity it can be up to 1 kg and a 32 cm x 24 cm size package within 1-3 business days; the US small-packet $8.69 is only up to 0.1 kg and takes 4-6 days.
@Feisty_Waters Legit though, I had the same thought an hour after the polls closed and we saw barely any results… but now that we know what’s up I feel bad for not feeling good enough to volunteer today in the first place… good ole #abpoli
@SamInYEG This might also help clear some things up; your secondary location’s TV doesn’t have be connected to your primary wifi so long as you log in thru your primary once a month; tell ur mom to logout at the end of every month, let you log in, then she can https://t.co/ovJK6LG0qe
@SamInYEG@wunderbar As long as you open the Netflix app on your mobile device(s) while connected to the Wi-Fi network at your ‘primary location’ once a month you can sign in with a TV at a second location; it just needs to log in after the primary & reset once/mo.
Today an Alberta lawyer argued that requiring lawyers to take an indigenous cultural course was the same as forcing indigenous children into residential schools and I’ve never heard a more powerful argument for requiring lawyers to take an indigenous cultural course. #ableg
Washington, D.C., becomes the biggest city in the U.S. to waive bus fares to spur interest in public transit. Analysts say the bold plan offers a good test whether it will promote equity and win back pre-pandemic riders. https://t.co/VOgnm1Fg1M
Poland asks for discussions under Article 4 which allows any NATO member to seek consultations so “the Parties will consult together whenever, in the opinion of any of them, the territorial integrity, political independence or security of any of the Parties is threatened.”
@snapthennap@Arianespace Please feel free to message me! That actually sounds incredibly exciting and interesting! Especially in this increasingly crazy world, science is my escape 🧪
@allisonjade Might also be related to the fact they don’t really think about art or the expression of it that much. It’s just not as much apart of ‘that’ kind of culture for them. In my experience, they look for the simplest meaning requiring the least amount of action or thought
@allisonjade The Right just really doesn’t get satire. Like at all. It’s kinda funny, if not also a little sad. I think it’s part of that whole identity though, as well. That whole “Not seeing at anything past it’s outer surface” thing + Not using critical thought to see any deeper meanings
@snapthennap Saskatchewan, maybe. 😂 Some of rural Alberta too. But I must say, I still have hope for Edmonton & Calgary, they always surprise in how much their more progressive policies contrast with the Province’s.
