Not sure if you honkers still use this godforsaken app, but here are my updated @goosetheband JOTY rankings (feat a new no. 1!). I haven't seen anyone else's rankings in awhile, so hopefully this set mixes things up. Happy Goosemas to all! @AATGoosePod

@DevTheWise@jvgregor@ry_storm@6R0M7@SeanLyng@warmsmybrain You'll probably hate me, but it's my no. 23 overall. If that A/B metal jam in the middle had been leaned into a little more, I might agree with you. That segment is breathtaking. I wish it had gone longer. The back half of the jam is great but I didn't think it was JOTY-great.
@SeanLyng I feel ya. I adore that jam, but I debated whether it made my list based on how short it was. I ended up including it, though. It was just too good. I feel the same way about Bonner Wysteria 9/19 (also 14 min), which I also included. It's prob too dark for your taste though.
@jvgregor I think I get it now, actually. The average ranking doesn't correspond precisely to a rank. E.g., Cap Drive is the highest-ranked jam by average, but it's average ranking is 3 (not 1). That's why the line isn't y = x.
@jvgregor@ry_storm@6R0M7 Dang so @6R0M7 was right that my Echo takes are . . . outliers. Looks like I'm an outlier on LA Dripfield, but I actually liked it more upon relisten then at the show. It might continue to move up for me. Separately, is "ThomPt Creatures" supposed to be "Troutdale Creatures"?
@NaughtonButDebt@jvgregor@6R0M7@ry_storm My current Cakes ordering is below. Subject to change because I've listened to the new ones only once so far. Cap Cakes is a bit of an acquired taste, but I love its laser focus. No guitar hero in sight.
1. Raleigh
2a. Cap
2b. Eugene
3a. SPAC
3b. New Haven
4. Omaha
Updated @goosetheband 2024 JOTY rankings after my first pass through September tour. In an attempt to minimize bias, I've pretty much avoided looking at anyone else's jam rankings/reactions since August. Incredible year of music so far.

@SimeonJTurner@6R0M7@jvgregor@ry_storm Big facts. It's a beaut. Rick soars to the heavens on that one. (Granted, I still have it as the third Wysteria this year behind Thompsons and Salt Shed. And while it was short, Bonner Wysteria was incredible as well.)
@ilsey@TweeterReprise@902Vickers I love the song so much - because of @goosetheband I discovered the original. What a gem of songwriting. One of the best, most emotive heartbreak songs I can remember. Thanks for putting it out in the world!
