@tmaj314159@kyuu47427@kopite7kimi At this point, I think you're just dividing the L3 size by core count, which ain't how it actually works.
Also, how will you explain the cache sizes for 6 core enabled chiplets? 5.33 MB per core and 16 MB per core for non-X3D and X3D respectively?
@tmaj314159@kyuu47427@kopite7kimi This is confusing. What's the difference between "each core has its L3 slice" and "private L3"?
And how does it work on case of X3D CPUs with 96 MB L3? How are the access managed?
@tmaj314159@kyuu47427@kopite7kimi Zen 2 or earlier was different but Zen 3 and later have a single pool of L3 cache per CCD. Even 6 core chips with 2 cores disabled still retain the full 32 MB.
The behavior you're talking about is seen probably with L2; not L3.
@anilpirwanii@DigestAndroid So, your alternative is something that would be something that's almost unusable unless tethered permanently to the internet?
For the same price, you can get a new MacBook with no ads and almost similar level of Windows functionality too.
@anilpirwanii@DigestAndroid Not my problem, TBH. When they lose their money in scams.
This is what happens when tech illiteracy meets proliferation of tech.
@anilpirwanii@DigestAndroid At least my analogies are just borderline idiotic unlike your statements that are outright idiotic.
A user who can't disable popups shouldn't be given a computer at all. They're highly likely to be scammed both online and offline because of that machine.
That's the analogy.
@anilpirwanii@DigestAndroid I am primarily a Linux user. Yet I'd say Windows >> GooglebookOS.
Windows is far from perfect but it lets run all existing Windows software, even if the performance may not be optmal at times.
Googlebook native app support is even worse than the phone version of Android.
@sebotas20004@TheGmngAssassin If the PC version is 1 or 2 years away, there's definitely gonna be an unofficial way of getting the game running on PC much before that.
@ernoleht@kyuu47427@kopite7kimi The real answer would be that we don't know yet.
Even with the actual product launch, that difference would be difficult to isolate because of differences in cache sizes, per core perfomance, etc.
