Major scandal at negotiations: Russian delegates fought over a chair in front of the Americans
The outlet Agentstvo, citing sources, reported a bizarre incident that took place during talks between Russian and American delegations in Saudi Arabia on February 18. As it turns out, Putin entrusted the negotiations with the U.S. to two rival teams.
Originally, the Russian side was supposed to be represented only by Foreign Minister Lavrov and Putin’s aide Ushakov. Later, Putin’s special envoy Dmitriev was added to the delegation — but Lavrov wasn’t informed.
Lavrov threw a fit and refused to give Dmitriev a chair.
The Russian foreign minister pushed the chair away from the table, saying: “If he wants to participate, let Vladimir Vladimirovich tell me personally.” After that, Dmitriev left the room to talk to journalists in the hallway. All of this unfolded in front of stunned American officials.
“Everyone goes to Putin one-on-one, and he tells each of them something different. That’s part of why no one can clearly formulate Russia’s demands at the negotiations,” Agentstvo’s source said.
@RepDavidValadao Still you voted "yay". Your constituents who will lose their medical care so that you could cut taxes for the wealthy will remember. this vote Yours is a purple district. You're going to suffer wrath.
@StateDept@UN And it lost. What passed was a resolution condemning Russia for the war, which you voted against, in concert with North Korea and Russia.
The proposed American deal on Ukrainian natural resources that would have effectively colonized Ukraine is dead.
The European Union will offer Ukraine a deal on natural resources.

@NikkiHaley Yeah... but you endorsed and campaigned for Trump hoping he would give you a job. You sold out freedom and democracy hoping for a paycheck and to remain relevant and now you have nothing.
