Day 8. Wrote my first ever guest post today, for a Canadian money blog, and sent it off this afternoon. I also said no to a paid placement offer. I want to see how far slow, honest growth can go first. Still one free trial and zero paying users. Small steps, but they are mine.
VibeLocked Day 3: I shipped 3 Supabase guides, on cascade deletes, error messages that leak hidden rows, and signed upload URLs. Since launch: 366 visitors, 2 scans, 0 Pro subscribers, $0 revenue. Lesson: Indie Hackers blocks launch posts from new accounts, so I comment first.
1/ VibeLocked started with a question: how often do apps built with AI tools ship with the door open? We scanned 2,511 live vibe-coded apps across nine platforms to find out.
VibeLocked Day 2: I shipped 2 Supabase guides, on upsert RLS errors and recovering deleted rows. Since launch: 346 page views, 2 scans, 0 Pro subscribers, $0 revenue. Lesson: guides alone do not bring readers. Views fell to about 5 a day, so distribution is my next fix.
Expenvo Day 7: The first Expenvo newsletter went out this morning. It reached exactly one confirmed subscriber, and I am happy to start there. I also shipped four more bank and credit union fee guides. No new signups today, still 4 users and 0 paying.
Every month my husband and I sat down with our bank and credit card statements and a spreadsheet, trying to figure out what each cryptic line was, which subscriptions we forgot, and which fees we shouldn't be paying. So I built a second app for it, and this one never asks for your bank login. The story so far ๐งต
Expenvo Day 6: Google now has 644 Expenvo pages indexed, up from 246 last Thursday. Shipped 8 more bank fee guides today, plus one on what to do when a free trial turns into a charge. 0 new signups today. Issue 1 of the newsletter goes out tomorrow.
