honestly, i think long-distance relationships can create a kind of love that’s completely different. you don’t get to rely on physical closeness all the time, so you learn to fall for the person themselves.

their voice becomes comforting. their messages become something you look forward to. you start paying attention to the little details about them because that’s what you have.
