Nasol: Internal/external circumstances matter to my standing & I deserve my position based on the merit I put in -> my low position is what I deserve due to my chronic pain debilitating my performance -> I am useless and a failure because of circumstances I cannot control
I find it so fitting that Nasol, the pitch-perfect representation of a "chosen person" in a 'meritocratic' system & an ideal that everyone would want to reach (an A-Class elite who can secure points fast and is professional in her conduct) (🧵contains Part 3 spoilers)
directly proportional to what you deserve; not taking into context any internal/external circumstances that could've influenced your position and therein lies the problem with her thinking in my opinion & how that becomes negative as she applies it to herself
It's this type of environment that will hopefully break Nasol's ideals of efficiency and teach her to recognize the fault in the system rather than wrongfully berating herself.
blame herself for not measuring up to an impossible standard that Daydream has unfairly created and arguably, how Daydream is systematically exploiting & purposefully oppressing/impeding lower class members to advance to a higher tier.
