Had tremendous fun, attending and speaking at this event yesterday. Lovely to put some faces to names too.
Thanks to all who came to my talk. I was very nervous; hope it wasn’t too garbled.
The CA is delighted to be working with @uniofwarwick to host an in-person Classical Civilisation CPD day on 17 June. Offering a range of workshops to support GCSE and A Level teachers as well as networking opportunities. See programme and register here:

Well, now... It's been 18 months since I last posted. Much has changed, but I'm back to poke my head above the ramparts. New CPD courses from Eupraxis Education coming in the Autumn term!
@DocCrom@hackloon@RGSNewcastle Oh, I loved Simon Squires. Terribly sad news.
And, yes, that was the Bacchae year. Second messenger part two, reporting for duty. “Πενθεα δε ίδρυσας έλαττινων something something…”
I’ve just photocopied Tim Clark’s excellent production notes from @RGSNewcastle / CNHS-as-was version of Aristophanes’ Frogs, for distribution to my current Sixth Form group.
Great to see names of @DocCrom , @hackloon , Monah Mansoori et al in the cast list.
Tim Clark is better known to generations of nascent Classicists as Caecilius from the sometimes hilarious but always useful @Caecilius_CLC videos of the early 2000s.

@LEJenksBrown @lfmcnally “Both sides of the argument” needs a bit of sieving imvho. Acknowledge limitations of your argument and rebut counter-points to achieve “balance”. Be careful to avoid flip-flopping at all costs.
Hello folks! Hope you all got the results you wanted and expected for your Classical subjects.
Reminder that, if you didn’t, rather than raging against OCR, you could be proactive and invest in some CPD. Give Eupraxis Education a shout! 😉
To those collecting A Level results today...
I hope you received the marks your efforts merited, and you are happy with your results and confident in your nexts steps.
Ultimately, A Levels are important but they are not everything; you always have options and opportunities.
