クロアチアで開催された、映画音楽のための世界三大国際映画祭のひとつ、International Sound & Film Music Festival のドキュメンタリー部門にて、『粒子のダンス』で最優秀作曲賞を頂いた模様です。

授賞式当日はライブのため現地へは伺えず、出席されていた監督から受賞の知らせをいただきました。

This was the last song played on the dance floor early one Sunday morning a few years ago. A wonderful record collector from Tokyo brought the original vinyl and played it for us. It remains one of the best and ever green memories of “Eurasian Suite.”

2001年当時、レコード店向けの新譜情報は各卸元から毎週1回程度Fax送信されていた。DMR (Dance Music Records) 様からのFaxが友人の店に7月6日に届き、解説を小川充さんが書いていて下さり、DMR推薦盤、7月30日発売と書いてあった御恩と感激は忘れません。御恩をきっと何方かに繋ぎます。

矢部さんの訃報に接した。矢部さんの影響で1990年代に宅録を始め、2000年に欧州でのリリースが頓挫した際、矢部さんに「自分でレーベル作ってリリースすれば良いじゃん。」と言って頂いたのがeurasian suiteの始まり。音楽的な成長も商業的な成功もお見せ出来なかったな。いつも優しい生涯の恩人。
