@MilesG4yworth Yeah like the occasional character will say something with that implication, which, gross, but really the general message of their relationship portrayed by the narrative is Phoenix taking on the role as Mayas older sibling in Mia’s place, and to miss that is just stupid methinks
@katskindahere Ugh exactly I think a lot of it stems from people just not putting the same love and attention into seeing their characters as nuanced people, because objectively based on the games, they are.
@D0GG1RL2 No cause this is so real, I always thought rise from the ashes would be a great case for him to come back in some regard, given the parallels to the first case with the sky sisters and the theme of a corrupt network in power… so much potential…
EUREKA!

Something I never hear about is how AA4’s theme is appearance vs reality (especially with the repeated on stage vs off stage motif). Trucy’s entire life is like a magic trick, distracting herself and others from her reality :(( there’s a lot of hope and fun in her but sadness too
even tho Trucy is silly, there’s so much depth to her that makes her such a great character like dealing with her parents disappearing. AA4’s gimmick is looking deeper into things and this goes for the viewer with the characters, especially a magician trained in misdirection
@troloyunu noooo sorry I didn’t mean for that to come across so serious ik it’s a joke I was kidding 😭😭😭 I thought you were poking fun at reddit ppl for saying that or something 😭😭
