@GuillemBalague Not to mention that during the time when the Premier league "most competitive" league eqs really banded about in the 2000s, they had the fewest number of different qualifiers for the champions league amongst "top leagues" - despite the bundesliga even having one fewer places.
@HLTCO Well said. It's annoying when football is compared to other forms of "entertainment" like this. Some call it naive romanticism, but a football club is meant to be part of a community, yes it needs a business function but the sporting and community element shouldn't be lost.
@GuillemBalague I think it is also to do with the widening gap between top and bottom, talented has become more concentrated at fewer clubs. This combined with other factors such as 4-3-3 adoption has meant a chicken shoot for attacking players at top clubs.
@SiavoushF But isn't that the point? This whole competition is about being amongst the best in Europe all ready. Current system is just a way of dividing up the teams based on rank to then draw against rather than provide any advantage or disadvantage.
@TavernFootball Quality of football and players hasn't increased since the 90s. The difference is the good players are more concentrated at a handful of clubs. It's easier now to be a top player at one of those clubs, the gap between the top and the bottom, even the top and the middle is bigger
@footballontnt would you be able to shed some light on the serie a coverage this year. Is it only 2/3 games per week on TNT tv channels and the rest on Discovery+?
@fsmwh ๐ I'm not responsible for any potential relationship repercussions. All I can say is it works on hoodies and jeans so I'm hoping it works of football jackets too.
@MattDRFCshirts To be fair the quality of new authentic shirts is terrible, particularly when it comes to the badges. Several of my shirts have things peeling off after just a couple of gentle washes, and all following washing and drying instructions.
@VillageFooty20 @SkySports In fairness though it's still not great, they also tend to be on their YouTube channel. Which majority of people can access through TV these days. Leverkusen and Dortmund games were both on there today.
@AlexisOBrien48 Definitely get yourself a table in a beer hall that does traditional pork knuckle https://t.co/3jK5ArT7Xj also if you have time in the day you can always pop to dortmund for the German football museum
@photoissimo@RaeComm Head to dusseldorf on any given weekend and you'll find several games you can squeeze in within an hour or so by train. Gladbach games usually have tickets available this season. Leverkusen if it's not a big gwmem. Also likes of Duisberg, essen, wuppertal.
