Funny how the WR room and RT was NOT a concern during the 2026 NFL Draft but now suddenly it is - hypocrites! Prepare for another 6-11 or 7-10 season, and hopefully this time draft capital is spent on WR and RT.
7 biggest Ravens offseason risers entering training camp - Sarratt is known for his reliable hands,3rd down chain-moving, and RedZone impact - he is hardly a "developmental" WR - the guy is a STUD! Question - is the Ravens smart enough to use him?
KC WRs are "paper tigers" who disappears when facing defenses that use physical press-man DBs at the LOS and/or 2-high shell defenses. That's one reason the offense scores so little and drives stall out so much (that and the stale playcalling). Let TK play TE and get a REAL X wr.
Latest Chiefs coaching stat proves their most important change won’t be a player https://t.co/RxUzklW9B2 "...and not giving the best quarterback in football a chance to succeed is a disservice." - so give him a real boundary X wr for once in his career!
Jaylon Moore's overall PFF blocking grade is 63.1 becasue his run blocking grade of 62.9 hides his 57.1 pass-blocking grade (ranked 72nd out of 89 qualified OTs). What matters is "pass pro" for PM who's recovering from ACL/LCL surgery - 57.1 won't cut it! RT is a liability NOW!
Remember a few months ago everyone claiming KC didn't need to draft a starting RT? Now an UDFA is beating J Moore out for the job! Imagine PM (the 1-legged wonder) depending on that to project his surgically repaired knee!? The inmates are running the asylum in KC.
More proof of KC incompetence: J Moore potentially losing RT1 to Esa Pole or a (gasp!) UDFA! $15M a yr for 2 yrs on Moore who's 2025 PFF pas pro rating of 57.1 and OT ranking of 72nd of 89 (horrible)! Now AR considering putting PM's future in the hands of an UDFA???
WOW, giving up a 3rd rd pick + a 7th just to get a 6th??? KC has mastered the art of giving away "something for nothing" whether its paying starting LT money for an avg backup RT (J Moore), or overpaying at LT (Donovan Smith) and RT (Jawaan Taylor), AR "genius".
Tom Brady & Bill Belichick are the most accomplished in history! While PM is the best active QB, Andy Reid is not the best active HC. Reid's position cannot be graded based on the SBs won with PM while ignoring his 20 yr SB drought before PM.
Order of importance: 1. RT1, 2 WR. J Moore PFF pass pro ranking: 57.1 (Horrible), OT ranking: 72 of 89 (abysmal backup). Can Esa Pole (former LT in 2025) do better? Even if he does is that good enough to protect PM leg??? KC 2026 draft was insane.
Olave gives KC a solid WR1 BUT he's 6'0 187lbs (typical KC WR frame). Can KC WR room beat Denver/Buffalo/Cincinnati/New England-style defenses when corners crowd the line, disrupt timing, body receivers, and force immediate wins? NO. Still missing physical X.
@theonlydyl_ He is playing within the limited expectations for 5 mo removed from surgery. He cannot play without a SLEEVE, he cannot make lateral cuts yet, just straight-line drop backs. He absoultely could not play a preseason game now or even 2 mo. from now, so "put away the annointing oil"
He's a little better than Thornton as a WR3/4 but the framing of him as "the answer" to KC's receiver issues is BS. He's a clone of what they have too much of, and doesn't solve: physical man-press, contested catches, tight coverage catches. He is depth nothing more.
Royals could have been an impact player his rookie year had the HC/OC just developed a handful of plays for him to master and slowly extended it rather than insisting he learn a 500 play playbook first - top "modern" HC's don't do that.
@StarcadeMediaKC The problem was there LONG before now and its NOT just with Rice. Worthy/Thornton very limited/beatable. Now add AR out-dated coaching decisions (modern HC don't waste WR rookie year, they dumb down the playbook), and 1-dimensional playbook.
This WR room is what it is (bad but) good on paper, w/o PM this group would SINK any other QB. KC had a chance to draft (cheap) solid to elite WRs but choose to pick a 5th rd clone of what they already have. KC made its bed now it needs to lie in it (at least until 2027 draft).
@Avabelly__ Duh, 160 years of forced slavery, another 100 years of oppression and Jim Crow + terrorist group KKK murdering, raping, mutilating and burning homes and churches. Systemic racism that is baked into every walk of american life to the point the majority see it as a way of life.
If PM doesn't play weeks 1-4 then it is very possible KC is 2-2 before the bye. It makes more sense to allow PM the extra time to heal meaning no play until after Thanksgiving (not likely but is what is really needed)...
@Farzin21 After surgery Rice was going to be out 2 months anyway even if no jail time that part is glossed over. Its easy to punch down on ignorant people especially athletes, and especially when they make it so easy - but, restrain yourself.
