@KarlVaarma@ChuvydlaFirst I am a patriot because I love my country, my homeland, motherland. A nationalist loves their nation, ethnic group, people. Of course, I consider russians to be the state-forming nation, but Russia is a multinational country and I respect peoples of Russia,so foremost I am patriot
@SaltyYySugaRrrR@Iwanow11111@_essa_q Russia itself initiated this some time after the collapse of the Soviet Union, when the country opened up to the world, when it extended its hand to everyone, when president Yeltsin spoke at the American White House, saying that the communist idol had fallen. I wonder too, bro
@Iwanow11111@_essa_q Russia values security, safety; throughout its history, it has faced attacks. If a country poses no threat and is willing to cooperate, Russia welcomes. Russia wanted to join NATO, be friends and trade with EU, and to achieve visa‑free travel on both sides, but it was all denied.
@LukeS1438 Russia has repeatedly stated and still states its readiness for negotiations without preconditions. Russia itself initiated the negotiations in Istanbul; agreements were even prepared with the stated conditions for a LONG‑TERM peace, without any freezes, without any more “chance”
@LukeS1438 it was the destruction of a residential city with thousands of civilians. I’m not rushing to blame the British or the Americans now; it’s just that such a tragedy doesn’t make Russia special.
@LukeS1438 it was literally just a “show,” there were no military targets; it was about civilian cities, hundreds of thousands of civilian casualties, and also the hellish bombing of Dresden, which made no sense, as it happened just a few days before Germany’s surrender;
@W_Kritzinger@LevDavidovich78 Russia could not avoid the outbreak of this war. The blame lies with those who pushed the situation to the brink, those who “provoked the bear.” US itself demonstrated that it was ready to burn the world in a nuclear fire when it saw that Cuba, right next door, had become anti‑US
