@LordShmeckie I think 50% of Airplane! stories are from the actors saying they thought it'd be dumb. The other 50% are from the actors who passed on Airplane! and regretted it.
@JonQuays@emmynicole1627@SethDillon If they are mentally unwell, won't you be a good person and call CPS? I'm sure they'd like to hear your "evidence" that a dark humor skit shared with a parenting community equals fantasizing murder.
@JSeal75@emmynicole1627@SethDillon Some people deal with fear by interpreting it in dark humor or black comedy. It's a way of getting an audience to laugh and expose the absurdity of it. (I hope you don't laugh at Zucker or Mel Brooks movies.)
@yednfmw@emmynicole1627@SethDillon Check the original videos. Their comments are full of moms encouraging each other, sharing their own weird intrusive thoughts, expressing relief that it's a normal maternal thing, older moms passing along advice and support. Quite a positive, pro-child community you're judging.
@JonQuays@emmynicole1627@SethDillon There are similar videos made by dads, you know. One of a dad taking out the trash while holding the baby, mistakenly putting his baby in the can, and taking the garbage bag back to bed.
@AnatomyofBJJ@SethDillon You should've looked up the moms' channels. Their husbands are very involved. First one's dad even participates in some of the skits. Black comedy doesn't have to be your cup of tea, but it isn't abuse.
@MonalisaSmzs@SethDillon The only ugly I see are people in their comments calling them evil. (Funny how that started today when the vids have been up for 8 months.) Before today, their comment sections were just moms opening up about their own safety fears, older mothers giving advice, encouragement.
@luistonytaylor@yvvas__@SethDillon You interpreted that as intentional. As many of the moms describe in the vids' comments, they may experience irrational fears of mixing up which hand is holding what, usually when sleep-deprived. There's a similar skit of a dad doing the same thing but taking out the trash.
@Sam_l0ve@SethDillon Morbid humor is how lots of people externalize an irrational fear. When you can contain it to a setting where other people are laughing with you, it no longer feels like it controls you. Just look at their comment sections: it's all moms sharing relief, solidarity, and advice.
@jdbookmarks@michellmybell1@SethDillon Neither of these videos depicts a woman joking about murder. They are skits about irrational fears. All their videos' comments were from moms sharing their own weird fears about child safety and offering advice to deal with it.
@thepeaklady@WomenReadWomen@SethDillon The second mom, Marley, posted a video in response to this. She never supported LC. She straight up urges women who feel something's dangerously wrong to seek up and for loved ones to check on moms.
@rinse_639@littleapostate Their TikTok accounts are available with the dates. "Intrusive thoughts" is a well-established term but some mistake it for violent urges. The term is usually reserved for irrational fears ("What if X happens to me/loved one?") with no desire or intent ("I want X to happen.")
@johnoinkti@idk86658175@HannahDCox If they cannot be stopped, then I can't "do something wrong." That requires intent. In fact, most OCD tics/rituals are harmless, but the intrusive thoughts driving them are nightmares. (Praise God, I learned how to externalize and process those, and the tics mostly quieted down.)
@imjustaboy551@HannahDCox But intrusive thoughts are precisely that. Imaginary, improbable scenarios from the risk assessment part of the brain running amok. And many of the moms who responded to the video (back in January) said the video helped them understand their own weird sleep-deprived scenarios.
Not only was this posted 9 months ago before the Clancy trial, it's about the anxiety of new mothers scared they'll accidentally harm their baby. Just absolute shit for brains.
@jppol74@mkhammer The second woman's video came out first if you check the dates on their channels. And they're both from January. Many of her videos are about silly things related to pregnancy/motherhood like food cravings.
