I do not agree with Wald’s statement. I think in todays world, recordings aren’t used more often simply because they are more accessible. I think, if given the chance, most people would still jump at the opportunity to see a live band. #POPMUSW22
@Aidanc313 l agree! I think it comes down to
accessibility. For example, a wedding.
Many would rather hire a live band but
it is much more expensive than just
making a Spotify playlist. If a live band
was as accessible, I think most would
still jump at the offer. #POPMUSW22
#POPMUSW22 The development of streaming services has had an impact on how I see others. Apple Music allows me to get a glimpse into the lives of others through unique playlists, while getting insight into their lives. It has also given me access to a larger variety of music.
@briangm11The voting process has also been adapted due to health and safety practises to keep physical distance between electors. So the voting process will take a bit more time, but this is more related to the safety protocols than the single DRO. (2/3)
#popmusdis21 I added an extra song because I’ve always labelled these 4 as my “all time Favorites”. No clue why, they don’t even really describe my music taste. But I’d need them on a deserted island.
@CocaCola Hi! Can you please tell me what’s wrong with this bottle? It was kept refrigerated at the correct temperature with other bottles from the same case and only this one is half solidified in this way
Things I’ve learned from living in St. John’s:
1. Kenmount rd. Starbucks has the best customer service in the world
2. Never rely on your own sense of direction
@DanielWNeill1 This is a very good point! We all discuss the convenience/affordability for us as the consumers without considering the impact it has on the artists. Art is often undervalued, but streaming services have definitely caused music to be hit quite harshly compared to other art forms
@AndrewTuck11 I agree! I also think that the development of social media over the years has created even more avenues for music to be discovered. With streaming services, YouTube, Instagram, tiktok, etc. I’m always discovering new artists from all around the world. #MUS2011W21
@PardyHayden I remember those days as well! I also like your point about songs depending on your mood. I love having unique playlists already made for whatever mood I’m in, it’s like having a bunch of MP3 players for every mood/occasion! #MUS2011W21
@YoungestMyrden I agree with your point about accessibility for sure! I also like the point about listening to music that may have otherwise been lost. I find I listen to a lot more older music now because I’m always exploring others’ playlists! #MUS2011W21
#MUS2011W21 Music has always been a huge part of my life. But since the development of streaming services as social platforms, it has become so much more prevalent. Apple Music allows me to bond with my friends through unique playlists, while getting insight into their lives.
